Since the announcement of this film, there has been much debate at Fresher Than HQ concerning the quality of this new Spiderman. While I enjoyed the first film and thought the second was excellent, the third Spiderman film was atrocious. While there were some good elements, the original trilogy suffered from some bad overacting, crappy effects, and lame action (with the exception of the train fight from Spiderman 2). When I look at this new film, I see an upgrade over the last film in almost every possible way:
- Spider-Man: Andrew Garfield > Tobey Maguire
- Female Love Interest: Emma Stone > Kirsten Dunst
- Villan: Rhys Ifans > James Franco/Topher Grace/Thomas Haden Church/Willem Dafoe (as the worst Green Goblin EVER)(Also, Alfred Molina was awesome as Doc Ock, but he kills himself, rather than Spiderman beating him)
- Supporting Roles: Martin Sheen/Sally Fields/Dennis Leary > That Guy that played uncle Ben, and that lady who played Aunt May and always sounded like she was on the verge of crying
- Writer: Steve Kloves/Alvin Sargent (Double Oscar winner) > David Koepp (the guy who wrote Indiana Jones 4!!!)
I have high hopes for this one. With that being said, here is the first full length trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man.

Are there no good American actors other than Robert Downey, jr. who could play American’s most favorite superheros. I’m tired of all these Brit Fags. Where the hell is the next Harrison Ford? And it an’t Shia Labeouf. Not that it matters, Hollywood has’t put out a movie that has got me hard since Avatar. And that was a chubby, not even a raging vain popper. Suck it Hollywood. I’d rather pud one off, and roll over and go to sleep.
