Vinyl Toy Network is changing things up this year with an expansion of design mediums and bringing us DesignerCon 2009. DesignerCon was founded in 2006 under the name Vinyl Toy Network. The show was created to bring together the artists, manufacturers, distributors and retailers of the vinyl toy/collectible figures market. Since it’s begining the show has grown into larger halls with larger crowds, more artists and of course more attendees. This year the show has decided that it should be renamed to DesignerCon due to the fact that it has outgrown the “vinyl toy” aspect. DesignerCon now covers all aspects of design and art including it’s root elements in the vinyl toy industry. The show has grown to support apparel, plush design, printing, sculpture and art ranging from fine to urban. Now in a 25,000 sq. ft. hall with over 70 vendors, live modeling, live painting and plenty of other surprises, this year’s show will be better than ever! Admission this year, just like the previous year, is $5 while children 12 and under get in for free. The show also will allow free entry after 3pm allowing all the thrifty people to shop for the last 2 hours for free. Peep the full flyer after the jump.
